Taghreed Haddadin
Bicultural Support Worker
My role is to support our Learning and Development team during orientation sessions. These sessions provide settlement information to help our newly arrived clients to understand Australia’s systems and lifestyle.
As many of our clients have children, I’m responsible for their care during classes. I focus on building a strong rapport with them, so they feel safe and happy during their parents’ absence. We have a great time playing games, like dressing up and board games. But, the best part about my job is when the children remember me upon their return. Their smiles and excitement to see me, brings me incredible joy and love.
When I’m not working, you’ll usually find me cooking. It’s one of the ways I express love. I particularly enjoy cooking (and eating) sweets and Middle Eastern food. It’s also a lovely feeling when people ask me to cook for their parties.
