Pola Marszalek
Social Worker Team Leader

Pola is a Social Worker at Melaleuca who takes a holistic approach to supporting clients from diverse backgrounds and works collaboratively across different teams. She also shares her love of yoga by offering trauma-informed sessions that promote wellbeing, healing, and connection among women.
With a background in international law, education, and social work, Pola has experience providing legal advice to migrant communities, teaching in secondary schools, and offering counselling support to international students. Her passion for social justice guided her into social work, and she is particularly interested in climate justice and the impacts of climate-induced migration.
Outside of work, Pola volunteers at the French Film Festival at Darwin’s local cinema and enjoys reading, hiking, and being out on the water. She dreams of a simple, happy life and a world with fewer inequalities — where everyone feels safe, valued, and free to pursue what brings them peace and joy.
