Melanie Fadaei
Support Worker

Melanie is a Support Worker at Melaleuca, working across both the Family Support Service and the Youth Team. Born in Iran, she speaks Persian as her first language and brings her lived experience, empathy, and cultural understanding to her role.
In her work, Melanie plans and delivers a range of programs and activities for young people during school terms and holidays, creating safe spaces for connection, learning, and growth. With a background in Community Care, she is passionate about helping individuals and families overcome challenges, resolve cultural differences, and achieve their personal goals.
Working with young people is one of the most rewarding aspects of Melanie’s role. She values their creativity, fresh perspectives, and potential to shape the future of their communities. Outside of work, Melanie enjoys connecting with others and building meaningful friendships. She dreams of one day creating a large, supportive Persian-speaking community in Darwin where people can share experiences, celebrate culture, and support one another in their settlement journeys.
