Giang Tran

Bilingual Health Educator and Barista

I was born and raised in Vietnam but wanted to experience life in Australia. So my husband and I moved to Darwin five years ago and now have two baby girls. I love both my jobs at Melaleuca, which are so different to each other and my former career in Environmental Engineering.

As a Bilingual Health Educator, I provide health information to the community through the Health in My Language program. This program works with migrant communities, to ensure that health messaging is accessible, appropriate and culturally safe. An essential aspect of my job is to bridge the gap between culture or language.

I also work as a barista at Mela Kulcha, Melaleuca’s onsite coffee shop. It’s a great job and I really enjoy making coffee for everyone in the morning.

My greatest passion in life is making people happy. It makes me happy just to see their smiles. My dream is that the world will one day live in peace and freedom.
