Ali Abdeen

Community Links Coordinator

Ali is Melaleuca’s Community Engagement Officer, working closely with multicultural communities to create spaces for learning, connection, and inclusion. His role brings people together through creative workshops and shared experiences that strengthen individuals, families, and communities. Ali also supports multiple programs across Melaleuca, oversees venue hire services, and contributes to a range of special projects.

Before joining Melaleuca, Ali worked as an interpreter and translator with Territory Families. He holds a Bachelor of Information Systems, completed in Melbourne, and is a self-proclaimed computer enthusiast.

Passionate about community building, Ali strives to foster strong, supportive environments that promote personal growth and healthy relationships. Known for his approachable and trustworthy nature, he encourages others to share their experiences and feel a sense of belonging. Outside of work, Ali enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding motorbikes, watching movies, listening to music, and collecting fragrances. He aspires to continue building connections across communities to help create a society where everyone feels they belong.
