Bicultural Support Worker
Taghreed is a Bicultural Support Worker at Melaleuca, providing practical day-to-day support to clients and their families to help them settle confidently and build independence in their new community. She works closely across several areas of the organisation, including Settlement and Establishment, Administration, and Family and Children Services.
With lived cultural experience and a deep understanding of the communities she supports, Taghreed is able to communicate in her clients’ language, appreciate their cultural backgrounds, and offer meaningful assistance tailored to their needs. Her role plays a vital part in promoting inclusion, wellbeing, and positive settlement outcomes for individuals and families.
Outside of work, Taghreed loves to express care through cooking—especially sweets and Middle Eastern food. She finds joy in sharing her dishes with others and is always delighted when friends and colleagues ask her to cook for their parties.
