Project Officer, Learning & Development
As a Project Officer, I provide the necessary support for all projects relating to education and learning, I also coordinate our wonderful team of volunteers. Before joining Melaleuca, I worked in adult and higher education for 10 years. So it’s great to be able to tap into and build on that experience.
Some of my favourite things in life include meeting and working with people from diverse backgrounds (I learn so much every day!), cooking for friends and family (it’s fun to share food and conversation) and a penchant for pooches. When I’m not working, you’ll find me exercising…a lot! It helps me let off steam and I find weight lifting very empowering.
Another great passion of mine is women’s rights. Growing up in a female dominated family heightened my awareness of the injustices women face every day. While there’s been some headway with gender equality, I believe we still have a long way to go.
