Prasanthi Silva
Senior Finance Office
As Senior Finance Officer at Melaleuca, Prasanthi works collaboratively with the Consulting Director of Finance & Infrastructure to lead and coordinate the organisation’s financial functions. Her role includes overseeing revenue tracking, financial modelling, payroll, receivables, and payables, while ensuring sound financial stewardship across all processes. Prasanthi also assists in preparing financial reports for the Board and liaises with both internal and external finance teams to maintain best practice and accountability.
Before joining Melaleuca, Prasanthi worked in the banking industry in Sri Lanka for eight years and completed a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Deakin University in Melbourne.
Outside of work, she enjoys meditating, storytelling, public speaking, and creative writing—particularly poems about people overcoming life’s challenges. Passionate about helping others, Prasanthi dreams of one day working with an orphanage to help these vital institutions achieve financial stability and meet their essential needs.
