As Project Coordinator, I’m responsible for two key programs – Side by Side (a community awareness initiative promoting healthy and respectful relationships) and Connected Communities (a program helping families to create community initiatives, to improve social cohesion and empowerment in schools).
Prior to joining Melaleuca, I worked in different communities across Australia as an adult Language Literacy Numeracy/ ESL teacher before moving into educational management and community development. I’m passionate about education and have wanted to help people, especially, under-served communities since I was a young girl.
Outside of work, I’m busy completing my Masters in Social Work and involved in several national and international organisations that support lifelong learning and education. On the rare occasions when I’m not working, I love spending time with my husband, my camp dog Pequis and my ex-feral cat, Millie.
